The Tunnel comes first because it sits next to the airport; we book the visit slot per date. For arrivals after about 14:00 the Tunnel moves to day 3 morning in place of Trebević. Mosque visits need modest dress (we provide scarves) and are kept outside prayer times. The family dinner is halal on request, confirmed with the host before travel.
This is the longest driving day of the programme, about 5 hours in total (est.), split into three legs with stops between them. It replaces the old one-day Sarajevo → Travnik → Jajce → Mostar run: no luggage, no evening arrival in a new town. Jajce has stairs at the waterfall viewpoint and on the fortress climb. For clients who want a shorter day, we swap in Lukomir village with lunch at a family home (May–October; the unpaved road is usually closed by snow from about December to April) or Vrelo Bosne.
The cable car operator's timetable lists Monday to Wednesday as closed and Thursday to Sunday 09:00–19:00 (zicara.ba, checked 22 Oct 2026); on closed days we drive up the Trebević road to the bobsled track instead. The Mostar walk starts at 16:30, after most day-trip coaches have left.
Blagaj goes first, before the midday crowds. Radimlja sits beside the Čapljina–Stolac road; we found no published opening hours (checked 22 Oct 2026) and treat it as an outdoor stop. The Počitelj tower is 100+ steps on uneven stone.
Kravice swimming is a May–September element; outside that window the falls are a viewing stop. The day suits Dubrovnik departures from about 18:00. Reverse direction (Mostar → Sarajevo) available.

Airport pickup with the guide and straight to the Tunnel of Hope museum next to the airport. Lunch in the bazaar, then a guided Old Town walk past the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, the Catholic cathedral, the Old Orthodox Church, the old synagogue, the Eternal Flame and the Latin Bridge, with the coppersmiths' street and a Bosnian coffee demonstration. Dinner hosted by a local family.
Free time: Little free time today: this is the only Sarajevo night of this version.

Morning on Trebević: the cable car and a walk along the 1984 Olympic bobsled track. West to Travnik for lunch (ćevapi and the town's white cheese) and a guided visit to the Coloured Mosque, the fortress and Ivo Andrić's birth house. On to Jajce in the late afternoon, for the waterfall that drops through the town centre as the light goes.
Free time: The evening is free in Jajce.

An early walk to the Pliva lakes and the wooden watermills, then the old town and the fortress walls of the last seat of the Bosnian kings. South through the hills past Rama lake to Jablanica on the Neretva for a lamb lunch and the broken railway bridge kept as a memorial of the 1943 battle, then the canyon road to Mostar for a guided Old Town walk at 16:30: Stari Most, Kujundžiluk, the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque and the 1990s front line on the Boulevard.
