Walls opening and last-entry times change by season, so we book the slot per date. If the flight lands late, the walls move to the morning of day 3, before the drive north.
The boat runs on the sea forecast. If day 2 is ruled out, we run a Cavtat and Konavle day by road instead.
Book oyster tasting in advance. The Korčula walk is on the next morning, so this day is Ston, a long lunch and the crossing only. Ferry schedule varies seasonally—confirm times.

Across the island with a local driver: the old road through the lavender village of Velo Grablje, then the Stari Grad Plain, the UNESCO-listed field system laid out by Greek settlers in the 4th century BC and still farmed, and the harbour town of Stari Grad with Tvrdalj, the fortified house of the poet Petar Hektorović. A farm lunch with island produce on the way back.

Operations note: A local vehicle and driver: our mainland vehicle cannot reach Hvar Town (the car ferry lands at Stari Grad). Lavender flowers in early summer; otherwise the stop is a lavender distillery or farm. No published opening hours for Tvrdalj (checked 22 Oct 2026): an outside visit unless confirmed open. On a calm day a Blue Cave boat can replace this day; the cave opens only when the sea allows.
